Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or BOTW for short is a beautiful game that uses the same classic, but with a twist. This time around the idea of “open world” meaning that you could adventure anywhere you wanted. The main character Link, wakes up in a stasis chamber and doesn’t remember anything, he soon finds out that there was a war one hundred years ago and that he fell in battle, now it’s his job to get his memories back and free the trapped princess.
Unlike in previous games where everything was linear and mapped out to a degree, BOTW allows the player to choose what region they want to start with, they can even stop midway and go to another region. The story is simple however with the general “save the princess” style. It’s the regions that redeem this fault, you learn more about the past as you visit each region and slowly piece together how all the regions are connected.
